Has anyone seen Zanta or heard of any Zanta appearances in the city lately? Or has he disappeared forever?

Zanta t-shirts? Yes Virginia, it's true!

BlogTO is printing/selling a limited run of these t-shirts and giving all proceeds to a local charity.

Pre-orders are being taken until 11:59 PM EST this Sunday December 16th and they're supposed to be ready for pick-up only downtown on December 22nd.

[Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with BlogTO or these shirts.]

Spotted Zanta at the "Everything To Do With Sex Show" on Saturday...leaning against a ticket booth outside. Had to look twice to make sure it was him. Ha.

Zanta Sighting
I saw him yesterday in full Zanta form on King and Sherbourne around 4:30ish. He was carrying sign something about doing push-ups and being kicked out. Has anyone read the sign in full? What does it say?

zanta on e-talk daily
I just saw Zanta on an E-Talk Daily clip of Michael Keaton walking around Toronto (the film festival is on right now). It was just for a split second, and he seemed to be doing whatever he does while Keaton, who seemed slightly ammused/annoyed, just kept on his way.

Another Zanta Man sighting...
This was on the weekend but I forgot about it until reading the previous post. Last weekend on Saturday I was on the Northbound platform at Eglinton West station and I saw Zanta Man on the other side, going southbound (downtown). Thought it was funny but I'm used to seeing him. The best part was when I was coming home around 2am on the Eglinton bus, he got on at Dufferin! What are the odds of seeing him at the beginning of the day and then at the end of the day like that?

Spotted: 9:30 @ Dufferin station
Saw Zanta this morning!
Had a bad morning today fighting with the neighbors cause they've been PEEING IN THE BACKYARD!! But thats a whole other topic.
Was mad by the time I got to Dufferin but before the subway even came I saw Zanta! I 'yesyesyes'd him and he came over with a big grin to shake my hand. We talked a few minutes and he told me how he was on his way to the Kenny vs Spenny taping at 1:30 this afternoon. I suggested he get them shirtless with Santa hats on the subway. He loved the idea HAHA
When the subway came he tried to get everyone to say 'hi' to the person next to him but no one but me would do it. Which was a bit weird HAHA. Anyway. Couple stops later he was gone at Dundas West and everyone on the subway was miserable again

The Zanta & Firkin

A group of friends and I, sitting at a bar at Runnymede and Bloor, saw Zanta across the night and "Yes yes yes!'d" him over. He stood talking to us for about twenty minutes, bumming smokes (he says he goes through three packs a day, giving them out to homeless people,) letting us know that he wants to start selling Zanta merchandise at cost "They cost $2 to make, it'll be $3." He spoke of girls' track suits with Yes Yes Yes! across the bum.

He's also in the process of setting up a(nother?) website and making a second documentary, and said that he'd been approached by Kenny or Spenny on the street and they were trying to get him onto the show. I didn't have my camera, but a friend snapped a picture with his camera phone which I hope to lovingly iconize soon.

I also gave him this URL, which I think someone else on here had mentioned doing before, but he didn't seem to know the site and said he'd check it out.

Zanta on Pride Day

Originally uploaded by Word Freak.
Last Sunday I spent the afternoon taking in Gay Pride Day. What parade would be complete without Zanta?

It took so long to post these photos because this was the first year I was shooting with a 1GB Memory Stick. I had 375 photos to go through. I whittled it down to about 150 photos, which I encourage you to look at here.
